Characteristics of a good translator
The profile of a good translator should satisfy certain requirements, including but not limited to the following :
Requirement 1 : Background knowledge
Translators are supposed to work with all aspects of human experience and knowledge. They read widely. The more you read, the more you grow aware of the lexical , structural and rhetorical features of both source and target languages. Topics of human experience are rapidly changing, and so are the ways we write about them. This does not mean that the translators supposed to be specialist in all areas of inquiry. Rather, they should simply be aware of them, through continuous reading.

خصائص المترجم البارع
:شخصية المترجم الجيد عليها ان تلبي متطلبات معينة من ضمنها المتطلبات التالية
المطلب 1 : المعرفة الشاملة
يجب على المترجمين العمل على جميع جوانب التجربة الإنسانية والمعرفة و الوجود البشري. من المفترض على المترجمين القراءة على نحو واسع. وكلما قرأ الشخص أكثر، كلما نضجت الخصائص المعجمية والهيكلية والبلاغية و الفكرية لديه في كلا اللغتين (الغة المصدر واللغة المستهدفة). مواضيع التجربة الإنسانية تتغير بسرعة مع تقدم و تطور الزمن ، ويتغير معها طرق الكتابة عن هذه المواضيع أيضا. هذا لا يعني أنه من المفروض على المترجمين أن يكونوا متخصصين في جميع مجالات الحياة. بدلا من ذلك ينبغي لهم أن يكون فقط ملمين وعلى علم بجل مجالات الحياة ،وذلك من خلال القراءة المستمرة
